Samsung S9 was recently launched and here is the latest stock firmware based on Android 8.0. This is the official Firmware without any modification from the carrier. This firmware is only for the Samsung Galaxy S9 SM-G960U on T-Mobile USA. This will upgrade your Samsung device to the latest Android Oreo. You can flash this Firmware using Odin.
Remember this will work only with Samsung Galaxy S9 SM-G960U on T-Mobile USA and not on any other device. Be sure to check your device model and carrier based on the country before flashing the Firmware.
Smart Switch is similar to the older Kies but made specifically for the new generation devices from Galaxy Note III with Android 4.3 and above.
We recommend Smart Switch as it is the official Samsung software and it automatically downloads your device USB Drivers for you to keep them handy during flashing.
